Partnerships

How would you describe a successful co-branding partnership? What makes them successful? How did they get started?

Co-branding is a strategic alliance between two or more companies that share common values and goals. The goal of a successful co-brand is to create a strong brand identity that resonates with consumers.

A successful co-branding relationship requires a clear understanding of each partner’s strengths and weaknesses. This allows both parties to focus their resources on areas where they excel and leverage each other’s expertise.

In this video, we will look at some examples of successful co-branded partnerships. Brands like Coca Cola have been working with various partners for years because it helps them reach new markets and build stronger brands.

We also cover the different types of co-brand relationships and how they can work together.

This is part one of three parts. Do you want to get started with brand partnership?

A brand partnership is when two or more companies collaborate to create a single product or service. The goal is to expand both businesses through this collaboration.

There are many benefits to having a brand partnership. You don’t need to be limited by your products budget, and you gain exposure for yourself. But what happens if the company isn’t willing to work with you? What if they try to renege or change their mind after you’ve spent money?

To avoid these situations, we recommend getting pre-approval for your project before hand. This way there won’t be any surprises moving forward. If it’s going well then why stop it now? Why wait until later to start seeing results?

And if you want to build a successful online business starting today, then you should check out our 5 day course called ‘Start An Online Store From Scratch’. It will show you exactly how to launch a profitable eCommerce store, straight away.

Let’s look at some examples of brand partnerships.

Example 1: PepsiCo & Walmart

PepsiCo is a multinational corporation that makes Frito Lay snacks. They also sell other foods like Gatorade and Quaker Oats.

Walmart is an American retailing giant who sells everything from groceries to clothing. Their stores are located in various countries across the planet.

In 2006, PepsiCo decided to partner up with Walmart and created a new snack called Doritos Locos Tacos.

This was a huge success as it became extremely popular among consumers. And because of this, the two companies made a profit together.

Since then, PepsiCo has continued to make deals with other big companies such as McDonald’s, Subway, Kraft Foods, Coca Cola, Nestle, etc.

The point here is that when you work with bigger brands, you can reach a wider audience. And with each deal, you’ll be able to increase your profits.

Example 2: Nike & Adidas

Nike is a global athletic shoe manufacturer. They produce shoes for different sports such as basketball, football, running, tennis, golf, soccer, volleyball, baseball, cricket, etc.

Adidas is another global athletic footwear firm. They manufacture shoes for different sports such us football, basketball, track and field, cross country, cycling, etc.

Nike and Adidas have been working together since 1987. In fact, they were once known as the biggest sneaker makers in the world.

But in 2014, Adidas announced that they would be making their own sneakers. So Nike sued them claiming that this was a breach of contract.

However, Adidas said that they didnt mean to hurt Nike. Instead, they wanted to focus on developing their own products.

So, they settled the case and agreed to not do anything similar again.

As a result, Nike and Adidas have become partners once again. And they continue to collaborate on projects together.

Example 3: Disney & Marvel

Disney is one of the largest entertainment conglomerates in the world. They own several famous movie studios including Pixar, Lucasfilm, Walt Disney Pictures, Marvel Studios, ABC, ESPN, etc.

Marvel is another major Hollywood studio which produces movies based on comic books. They include Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Avengers, X Men, Spiderman, etc.

Disney and Marvel have partnered up many times over the years. And these partnerships have helped both companies grow significantly.

For example, in 2009, Marvel released a film called Iron Man. This was a massive hit and earned more than $585 million worldwide.

And in 2011, Disney released its first Marvel film Captain America. It grossed more than $623 million worldwide.

These kinds of collaborations help companies build their brands and expand their market share.
