Nowadays, most eCommerce companies are using blogging as one of their primary marketing strategy. So if you have decided to start a blog don’t just sit down on it without knowing how to market your blog effectively. As I mentioned earlier, the quality of content is very important to keep readers interested, so make sure that you write quality posts regularly. But, even though quality post will not guarantee huge amount of traffic to your blog, they will certainly help your blog grow organically and eventually bring in some good amount of traffic.

The next step to getting a lot of traffic to your blog is to use social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn etc. It’s always great when people share links with other members of their network. Add meta tags to your title, URL, and description

Include the following meta tags in each section of your website:

Title tag – The title tag appears at the top of the browser window and contains the title of the web page.

Description tag – Describes your page in plain English. Include a maximum of 150 characters.

Keywords tag – List the words people search for to find your page. Use no more than 30 keywords per page.

Meta robots tag – Tells Google how to crawl your page. Include “noindex” or “follow”.

Use Schema markup

Schema markup is a standard format used by search engines to identify structured data on websites. This means that when you publish a post, you can give it a unique schema ID. Search engines then use this information to show relevant results.

Image Dimensions – Make sure the height and width match the aspect ratio of the image. A square image should have a ratio of 1:1, meaning its width should equal its height. Most cameras nowadays shoot pictures with a 3:2 ratio, which means the image is wider than tall.

Image File Size – Try to keep file sizes under 1 MB. Large files take longer to load, which could affect the user experience. Also, larger files may not display properly on some devices.

Alt Text – When uploading an image, you can include alt text. This is text that describes the picture. It appears in the event that someone cannot view the image because their screen reader does not support images.

The way you present your content affects whether readers click through to your website. Here are some ways to improve your content presentation:

Create a clean layout

Clean layouts look professional and make it easier for visitors to navigate your website. You can create a clean layout by making sure all elements are aligned and spaced evenly.

In this case, you would need to create quality content for another site.

Social media advertising

Social media advertising works well when targeting specific audiences.

For instance, you can advertise to fans of your favorite sports team.

You can also target users who visit certain websites or apps.

Facebook has several options for promoting your product.

These include “Sponsored Stories,” “Promoted Posts,” “Boosted Posts,” and “Custom Audiences.”

Once again, make sure to target the right audience.

Also, keep in mind that Facebook recently introduced new features that allow brands to interact directly with customers through Messenger.

Content discovery platforms are often used as part of an outreach campaign.

You may even be able to contact the author directly.

Some sites offer free trials. You can try them out before committing to pay.

Some tools that I recommend are Buzzsumo, Ahrefs, Semrush, and Moz.

BuzzSumo allows you to compare different sources of information and identify which ones receive the most attention.

Ahrefs provides detailed analytics about how people found your site.

Semrush helps you discover trending content.

Moz offers insights into the performance of your site.

Email marketing

Email marketing is one of the best ways to promote your business online.

Your first step should be identifying the type of emails you want to send.

The easiest way to do this is by creating a list of all the emails you currently.

You can then choose whether you want to send promotional emails (i.e., sales) or informational emails (i.e, newsletters).

If you’re just starting out, it’s recommended that you focus on sending promotional emails.

The reason being that they generate higher click-through rates than informational emails.

Next, decide whether you want to use a third-party service or create your own email template.

Most services provide templates for you to customize.

However, you will need to write your own HTML code.

I would suggest learning how to do this because it requires basic computer skills.

Make sure to check the terms and conditions to avoid getting banned from these services.

It’s important to note that you have to register with each platform individually.

There are a few exceptions, but generally speaking, if you don’t register separately, you won’t be able to access all the functionality offered by the platform.

In addition to helping you understand your current situation, web analytics tools also let you track changes over time.

Use Google Analytics. It’s free, easy to set up, and gives you a lot of data.

Use UTM codes whenever possible. They make tracking more accurate and easier.

Monitoring social media platforms lets you see what types of posts are receiving high engagement.

This enables you to better target your audience and increase your chances of gaining new followers.

One of my favorite tools for social media monitoring is Hootsuite.

It integrates well with Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest, and YouTube.

Hootsuite is a paid tool, however, so I recommend using it only as a supplement to your existing social media management strategy.

You can also monitor your competitors’ activity through Social Mention.

It allows you to search for mentions of keywords related to your industry.
